Hello!
I’m Katrin Müller, an intercultural developmental psychologist, psychotherapist, and certified professional coach.
I was born in East Germany, in the former GDR, and my life has been marked by profound social, cultural, political, and of course, personal changes.
I’ve had the opportunity to live in different countries and navigate among various linguistic and cultural worlds, making discoveries and connections that led me to study psychology in order to better understand human beings and their many ways of existing in the world. This project is still ongoing.
In France, I obtained my Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology and worked with several associations in the south of the country to promote social equality, diversity, and the inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized populations.
Particularly interested in intercultural aspects, I had the opportunity to teach cross-cultural psychology to international students in Spain.
Just as no single tool works for everyone, no therapeutic approach fits all individuals. With the desire to create a personalized form of support, I began exploring various effective methods and systems that help people take control of their own lives and improve their quality of life.
Psychology for Expats
For more than 15 years, I’ve been working closely with expatriate adults, parents, and their children of all ages.
My services are available in French, German, Spanish, and English, both in person and online.
In my office located in the heart of Barcelona, I support children and adolescents in person and their parents online, as well as adults—especially expatriates from all over the world—helping them regain control of their lives or reach their personal goals.
Systemic Therapy and My Work as a Coach
To complement my therapeutic practice, I have specialized in Brief and Strategic Systemic Therapy approaches. I also work as a professional coach to best address the diverse needs of those seeking psychological support.
As a certified Psychologist, Psychotherapist, and Professional Coach, I offer attentive, personalized, and collaborative support tailored to each person’s needs and objectives, helping them overcome stagnation and regain drive and purpose.
Third Culture Kids (TCK) and Third Culture Adults (TCA)
As a third culture adult raising my children in a multilingual and intercultural environment, I’m especially interested in the developmental challenges inherent in such situations.
